It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is already upon us, and soon after that the Christmas holiday — or just plain holiday season for others. It seems like only yesterday we were celebrating the New Year, looking forward to all the awesome smartwatches and wearables that were soon to release. Before long, we’ll be looking forward to the next year, 2016.
Just after Thanksgiving, the holiday shopping season kicks off with one of the most popular days of the year: Black Friday. Hundreds — if not thousands — of retailers across the country offer steep discounts on great merchandise. Consumers have the opportunity to get gifts, or items they’ve been wanting — perhaps even all year — at a steal. The catch usually is that you have to know when and where to get the deals.
In keeping up with the holiday spirit, we’re going to take a look at some of the best Black Friday deals. Believe it or not, there are a few retailers that are starting their deals early — some by a week or more — so that you don’t have to give up a holiday to get great discounts. Naturally, some of these deals will be expiring and others will be cropping up, so you can expect us to update this article all throughout the week.
We’ll have another one for you on Friday for the best Cyber Monday deals.
Without further do, let’s get talking about those Black Friday deals though.
Amazon Daily Deals for Black Friday Week
Starting last Friday, Amazon has been hosting daily deals on a variety of products with new discounts happening every five minutes for eight days — ending on Friday, November 27. The best part is that the likelihood that a wearable or smartwatch you want will go on sale is pretty high. The downside is that you need to keep checking back on the site if you want to catch one of those deals.
Of course, there are daily deals happening too which give you a bit longer to make a purchase.
One of the best deals being teased is the Jawbone UP3 fitness tracker for $99, which is usually $179.99. We probably don’t need to explain to you why that’s a great deal, but we do need to point out that it won’t be the only one. Make sure you keep checking back on the site to see what deals are available.

Amazon also has a bunch of weekly deals available on various wearables and fitness trackers.

Target Black Friday Deals
Target will be starting their biggest sales on Thursday, November 26 at 6 PM (Thanksgiving).
If you’ve been waiting for a great deal on the Apple Watch, then you’ll want to pay a visit to Target between November 26 and 28. They’re not actually offering a discount on the Apple Watch, which starts at $349 even at Target. However, they are giving out $100 gift cards to anyone who purchases one of the smartwatches between the select dates.
You could use that $100 to purchase more gifts, or you could use it on yourself if you’re picking up the Apple Watch as a gift. Either way, a $100 gift card is always a good reason to jump on an offer.
Target will have other deals which include:
- Fitbit Surge – $199.99 ($50 off)
- Pebble Time – $129.99 ($70 off)

They’re also offering up to 50% off on select Apple Watch accessories like charging cables, docks, cases and more. This is another place you’ll want to check out if you have been planning on buying an Apple Watch for yourself or any of your loved ones.
